Don't throw it away unless it's really gone. For example, you can prolong the life of lipstick by using a lipstick brush.

Yeah, especiallly when it's your favorite color and they don't sell it anymore! This works great for me and a lipstick brush is really inexpensive or comes in other brush sets.
