If the lamp doesn't work:
If the lamp doesn't work, replace the light socket, cord or the plug. This is usually cheaper than replacing the whole lamp. A light new light socket usually only costs a couple bucks at a place like Lowes or Home Depot. Ask a sales rep. if you need help selecting one. If the plug is bad, buy a new plug end. These are cheap also, sometimes not even a dollar. If the cord is bad, buy a lamp extension cord, cut the end you plug things into off and wire it onto the light fixture. All these things can be bought at your favorite hardware store. Ask a sales rep. if you need help finding what you need. Take the lamp with you and show them. They will get you what you need.
