Just quit.

It is actually a very hard thing to do, but you can just quit. You can just up and stop smoking a pack a day and not smoke anymore at all. The key is your willpower. You must say to yourself that you will allow cigarettes to get the better of you. You don't need a cigarette to feel better. I imagine, in my mind, me seeing a pack of cigarettes that looks like someone in a suit and then beating the crap out of them. That always makes me feel a little better when I think about smoking.

The temptation will be there for a time to smoke, and you may have some withdrawal symptoms, but those rarely last for longer than a week. After a week or possibly only a few days like me, you will have beaten the Nicotine addiction, now the only step left is to keep reminding yourself you are better than cigarettes and eventually the habits that you really want to do will go away.
