Sodas and Such?
While this might seem like a good idea (buy only sodas or tea that has free refills), keep in mind that restaurants, fast-food places, and convenience stores usually put about a 200-300% markup on the price they are charging you for that drink with "free refills". So, for example, a glass of soda or an iced tea - regardless of size - is about $1.75 to as much as $3.00 or more (depending on where you go. Expect to pay about $3.50 in restaurants and bars/lounges, and about $4.50 in a movie theater!), it only cost the seller about $.18 to $.30 per ounce or perhaps per gallon to buy this from the manufacturer of your favorite soda to the place where you bought it. So, really, how thirsty can you become in order to make that idea work? Also, too much sugar and/or caffeine over time can have adverse consequences on your stomach, heart, kidneys, and overall health and can create dehydration to you, as well.
